An IRSE YM Event - Cybersecurity in the Rail Environment
How to secure a signalling system. We will talk about why our signalling systems need cyber security more than ever, explore the different threat actors and examine what we do to mitigate the risks to these systems - using the Cyber Assessment Framework amongst other tools.
Our speakers are:
Tom Williams is the Operational Technology Cyber Security Advisory Manager for TfL's Operational Technology Cyber Security Advisory team. Tom has been at TfL for over 14 years firstly in capital delivery on the Four Lines Modernisation Programme before moving into TfL's Cyber Security function.
Tom Stankowski has over 11 years working in the railway industry and is currently the Operational Technology Advisory Lead for signalling and rolling stock at TfL. In former roles, he worked on delivering the signalling systems for the Northern Line Extension and the Four Lines Modernisation project.
How to join us:
This is currently planned to be run as a hybrid event, both online and in-person at locations in Victoria, London, UK and Dublin, Ireland.
Note spaces at these in-person locations are limited and will be allocated on a first-come first served basis - please indicate when booking your place if you would like to join at either location - joining instructions will be sent in advance to those attending in-person.
The online aspect will be hosted over Microsoft Teams and a link to the online event will be shared to those who have booked a ticket in due course and nearer the time of the event.
