In the second of Dr Daniel Woodland's Presidential Programme lecture series on the theme of "The Challenges of Change in Complex CCC Systems", Tom Jansen will talk about "Techniques at the forefront of system safety and their application to railway signalling".
Tom will be exploring what benefits we get by replacing the driver by computers, how we can demonstrate the safety and integrety of a self-driving train and its software, and how we can improve our business case by making use of automation knowledge and products from other industries.
This lecture is hosted by IRSE's Swiss section and will be livestreamed and recorded for those unable to join us in person.
All IRSE members and non-members are welcome.
Details of venue, booking and livestreaming will be announced nearer the time.
