What is ASPECT?: ASPECT is the international conference organised by the Institution of Railway Signal Engineers (IRSE) held every two years. In 2019 we are excited to host ASPECT in the town of Delft in the Netherlands. This will be hosted in the Delft University of Technology, with the main conference on 23-24 October 2019. We are looking forward to welcoming delegates and speakers from countries all over the world from all types of railway – high speed, heavy freight, mixed traffic, metro, light rail and tram. What is the theme? ASPECT welcomes papers on the topics that make up its name: • Automation • Signalling • Performance • Equipment • Control and • Telecommunications However, in 2019 we have decided to focus the conference on the theme of 'resilience.'
