Scottish

The Scottish section of the IRSE is very active throughout the year and provides a range of lectures, site visits and social events open to all members and guests of the IRSE in Scotland.

In addition we support and encourage the general aims and activities of the Institution including such activities as facilitation of IRSE Exam Study Groups at the Siemens offices in Glasgow. Please contact section secretary for more details.

The section committee meets monthly from September through to April each year with meetings coinciding with lectures or other key events on our programme.

Section meetings, technical visits and other activities are open to all members and for details of dates and venues please contact the section secretary and see the events page. Our normal location for lectures, details of which can be found in the Programme of IRSE Events published annually by the IRSE, is Sloans Bar & Restaurant (1st Floor Dining Room), 62, The Argyll Arcade, Argyll Arcade, 108 Argyle St, Glasgow G2 8BG.

Some lectures are hosted jointly with other bodies such as the IMechE / PWI and guests and non-members of the IRSE are most welcome to attend.

Traditionally we host our Annual General meeting during April each year with a pub quiz to encourage healthy attendance.
