London & SE section presentation: ETCS braking model in LS Mode with Lineside Signals

London & SE's section presents: ETCS braking model in LS Mode with Lineside Signals

Inspired by his involvement with the Radio Based Limited Supervision (RBLS) project, Paul B. Morris will outline his thoughts on two topics:
1. A possible approach to drawing a clear division of responsibility between Signalling and other engineering disciplines in the derivation of speed profiles.
2. If more abstract theoretical approaches (e.g. compared to using the ERA’s Tool) could help with ensuring that the ETCS perturbation distance is compatible with the lineside signal spacing: as this is an important issue when ETCS Limited Supervision mode is used.

Paul, who is a Mathematics graduate, is currently working for Proxion as a Technical Specialist, ERTMS design in Tampere, Finland. He previously worked for Park Signalling and DeltaRail.

This will be an on-line meeting using MS Teams. Please register before 1700 on 23/3/23 via Eventbrite - https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/irse-lse-etcs-braking-model-in-ls-mode-with-lineside-signals-tickets-534516472157?aff=web
