Improving points performance and reducing points failures - London & SE section
25 Nov 2021 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM
Section: London & South East Section (londonse@irse.org)

In this presentation, Neil Denton, who was the Network Rail Senior Reliability Improvement Specialist for switches and crossing will share some of his experiences and insights into how to improve the performance of points and reduce the number of failures. Neil now gives advice to many clients around the world how to layout and assemble switches and crossing.

His talk will be based around the variation between Signalling & Telecom and Permanent Way standards that apply to switches and crossing and how these cause confusion between the two disciplines. He will also discuss the benefits using the Back Drive Set Up Gauges.

Members and non-members are welcome to join the London & South East section for this on-line presentation using GoToMeeting. Details will be sent before the meeting to those that register. Please register before 1700 on 25/11/21 via Eventbrite.
