Section: IRSE Younger Members' Section (younger.members@irse.org)

EventBriteThe younger members section is kicking off an international series of presentations on signalling systems and their principles from around the world, starting with the Netherlands and then the UK. The presentations will follow with an open discussion for participants, where we can discuss the differences, pros and cons from our signalling solutions.

You can find details of the planned presentation of the series below:

Part 1: The Netherlands - Presented by Jessica Heeren (ProRail) 25/08/2021

Jessica Heeren will present about the Traditional Signalling in the NL. The presentation covers principles of how the ATB functions, its design, its shortcomings and interesting operational “eccentricities”.

Kauser and Elliott will present about the history of UK signalling systems and principles of the most common signalling protection systems AWS and TPWS.
