CANCELLED: London & South East Section - Crossrail
26 Mar 2020 5:30 PM - 8:30 PM
Section: London and South East Section

CANCELLED: Due to the current health situation, it is with regret that the London & SE section committee have cancelled this talk.

Crossrail is a new high frequency, high capacity 100km Line running in tunnels under London and connecting to commuter towns in the East and West. Crossrail is unique in that the train transitions between three signalling systems as it travels along the Line. As the project nears completion Tom Godfrey (Head of Engineering (Region North) in Bombardier’s Rail Control Solutions division) will explain how these three signalling systems have been integrated successfully and some of the challenges faced along the way and Rory Mitchell (Signalling field engineer for Crossrail) will explore the safety critical and non-safety critical interfaces to the Crossrail signalling system and their impact on movement authorities; he will also explain the differing arrangements for Crossrail’s three fringes with Network Rail.

Please arrive from 1730 so we can start the presentation at 1800 sharp.

Please register using this link before midnight on 22/3/2020 to allow access to the event: Eventbrite booking
