The Introduction Day to be held on the 24th September 2008 for those of lesser experience within the signalling, telecomms or system disciplines. A broad and informative programme has been planned that will challenge the delegate's perceptions and question their understanding of industry.

That evening, 24th September, an informal social will be held at the Porterhouse, Covent Garden and is open to all conference delegates for discussion, networking and a little fun. Finger food will be provided and the Porterhouse offers a varied and unique selection of beer, wines and spirits.

25th and 26th of September 2008 will be the main days of the conference with twenty three papers from eleven different countries spanning the breadth of the industry. Time has been allowed for question and discussion sessions plus an exhibition provided to allow delegates to view some of the innovations and developments being offered.

The formal conference dinner held on the evening of the 25th. It is to be held at the famous Lord's Cricket Ground in London. A free dinner place is included in the main conference ticket and includes a tour of the museum which holds the original Ashes Urn -- debate will no doubt be forthcoming!

27th September 2008 will see the return of the Technical Visits. Two venues will host the visits, namely: Highgate Test Track and London Transport Acton Museum. Places are very limited so book early as it is first come, first served. These are free on production of a full conference ticket.

Queen Elizabeth II Convention Centre, Westminster, London is again our host. Information such as facilities, how to find local hotels and travel to and from Westminster will be provided in the IRSE News and via the ASPECT website.
