Text Books
There are a number of text books which detail current UK and European practice in railway signal and telecommunications engineering. In addition, reprints of historical material covering earlier generations of equipment and practice are available, since quite apart from any historical interest, in many places such equipment and systems are still in use. There is also a CD ROM containing the IRSE Body of Knowledge, a compilation of information on a wide range of technical subjects.
Technical Reports
The Institution has produced a number of technical reports which provide an overview of specific subject areas.
Conference and Seminar Papers
Copies of many papers presented at conferences, seminars and visits are available, in paper and/or CD ROM format.
Annual Proceedings
The IRSE publishes an Annual Proceedings which contains the technical papers presented in London and details of other IRSE activities.
