Papers
Technical papers are prepared, published and presented covering a wide spectrum of topics in railway control and communications. The main section papers are presented in London between October and April each year, and are generally published in IRSE News prior to the author’s presentation. Both members and non-members are welcome to attend the presentations which are free of charge. There is a question and answer forum after each presentation with the main points of the discussion recorded and printed together with the paper in the annual proceedings.

Forthcoming local papers
Details of technical papers for each of the local sections can be found in the IRSE near you area of this website.

London papers
All technical papers are read in the Lecture Theatre of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers, 1 Birdcage Walk, London SW1H 9JJ. Unless otherwise stated, these commence at 18.15 hours, preceded by tea at 18.00 hours.

A number of London papers have been televised and are now available to view on line. Due to technical difficulties, it was not possible to record the December 2009 meeting, and due to an enforced late change of venue for the 13 January 2010 meeting, that too could not be televised.
