Events
The IRSE organises a full programme of events ranging from the presentation of technical papers through to major international conventions and conferences. See the more information box on the right of this page for full details for the 2009/10 UK programme.
Papers
Members and non-members are welcome to attend presentations covering a wide spectrum of topics in railway control and communications.
Seminars
Full or half day events on specific and topical subjects. These are usually held in London in autumn and spring.
Visits
Behind the scenes visits to see S&T engineering systems in operation both in the UK and in mainland Europe. These are usually held twice a year, in autumn and spring.
Conventions
International technical conventions organised annually by the IRSE.
Conferences
ASPECT - the IRSE's major technical conference, held in London every two to four years. The last ASPECT conference was held in September 2008 and the next one will be held to coincide with the IRSE's 100th anniversary in September 2012 in London.
Annual Dinner
The next Annual Dinner will be held on 23 April 2010 at the Park Lane Hotel, Piccadilly, London. Details and an electronic application form are available in the "more information" box on the right of the page. It will follow the annual general meeting and inauguration of the new President and the President's address. Both members and non-members can attend. The event presents an opportunity to socialise with colleagues from across the whole industry, both railway administrations and suppliers.
Members Luncheon
For members only, this event held in Central London in June each year provides an opportunity to socialise with current and past colleagues in an informal setting. The 12th Annual Luncheon will be held on 16 June 2010. Details of the next luncheon will be published here when available.
